Murals I have created and/or assisted in!
I have had the particular honour to work on a handful of murals in the Langley B.C. area. There is a very different aspect to creating ‘street art’ or murals.
I have discovered that when completing a public piece like these, you are essentially giving it over to the community and it is no longer really yours.
Now when I see murals and street art I know that it is a gift from the artist to the public.
I see images of murals I have created or helped to create all over social media. Sometimes my name is mentioned and sometimes it is not.
What is ALWAYS present though, is the smiling faces of my fellow community members standing in front of something I lent. Makes me feel so good!
“The Power of Women is Infinite”
I fully designed and created this mural as commissioned by the amazing people at Forever Yours Lingerie. I wanted this piece to represent the values and message of the company, it’s team and it’s customers. I think it does! It’s bright, bold, big, vibrant, and feminine. It includes various shapes and sizes and colours and it serves the public. I love this mural so much. Sometimes I just drive over and look at it. I am always awed. I encourage you to go see it!
It is located behind the store at:

“Selfie Wall”
This empowering mural was designed by Sonya Perkins and commissioned by her company Forever Yours Lingerie. It is located behind the store at:

“Octopus”
This beautiful piece was designed and donated to Langley City by Judy’s Custom Art. I was so happy to be invited to come out and assist Judy in creating this one! The Downtown Langley Business Association found her a wall and with the help of her amazing and artistic daughter and paint donated by Cloverdale Paint, we gave another mural to our community!

“Pets on Giant Dinosaur Eggs!
These four murals were designed, created and painted by myself and Judy at Judy’s Custom Art. I donate a percentage of every pet portrait to animal charities and the Surrey Animal Resource Centre is one of them. When the Surrey Museum donated these two giant dinosaur eggs to S.A.R.C to mark the entrance of their facility, they gave me a call and asked if I could paint some of their most memorable faces on them. I knew I would need help and called Judy. We spent a very beautiful summer Saturday in July painting them and are so happy to have been part of this. * paint donated by Cloverdale Paint

Interactive Bathroom Mural at FYL
This is a fun one! Located in the Forever Yours Lingerie Burnaby store. 103 - 3961 Hastings Street
Top row shows the preliminary paintings and the second row shows them on the wall. On the bathroom walls no less!
If you happen to go visit the store, and you should, go check out the bathroom! There you will find my mural and the message, “Life is a Party! Dress Like it!” and there you will also find a ‘mystery’ light switch. Hit that switch and get ready for the part to start! The Disco lights will come on and the party music as well! Now it’s your time to video the experience and post it on social media. Tag FYL and ME! and enjoy!
In March of 2021, I had the pleasure of collaborating with a creative from Vancouver. (@Rittees) He uses colourful paper masks and matching outfits to immerse himself into local murals. I was fortunate enough to be invited to join in!
